Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has given a nod to a biopic inspired from his glorious life as a cricketer and seems like he has a Bollywood actor in mind too! Speaking to News18, Sourav Ganguly confirmed that he has agreed for a big Bollywood film inspired from his life. The former cricketer has reportedly recommended Ranbir Kapoor to play his role in the movie, while there are two other actors also on the list. Taapsee Pannu will also be seen essaying the role of Indian women’s national cricket team captain Mithali Raj in her biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’. Anushka Sharma will also reportedly essay the role of Jhulan Goswami in her biopic, however an official announcement of the same is yet to be made.

Another movie about the cricket world of ’83. The Kabir Khan movie is based on India’s 1983 cricket World Cup victory, with Ranveer Singh essaying the role of former captain Kapil Dev. This movie was scheduled to hit the screens last year in April but has been delayed due to the pandemic.
