Yes, you read that right! In a conversation with Karan Johar on his chat show, Katrina said, When I saw the film, I was terrified. Vipul (Amrutlal Shah, director) showed it to me and said, ‘What do you think?’ I didn’t call him back. You know, when a director shows the actress a film, you have to give him feedback. I took off home, shut the door and didn’t give him a call.”
Apparently, the filmmaker’s assistant called Katrina and told her that he was really upset to not receive any feedback from her. After this, she called Shah and told him that it was a nice film and hung up. According to her, Katrina saw a lot of her in the film and she felt that it was a disaster. Katrina felt that the film would be an end to her career.
However, contrary to all this, ‘Namastey London’ went on to become a critically and commercially acclaimed film. The actress too received a lot of appreciation for her performance in the movie. It is still one of the most loved films of their fans.
After the release of the movie, Katrina revealed that she received calls from a lot of people from the industry who said that she did pretty well in the movie. According to the actress, ‘Namastey London’ changed people’s perception towards her.
On the work front, Katrina is awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ where she has reunited with Akshay Kumar. She is currently shooting for Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Tiger 3’ with Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
Apart from these, she also has ‘Phone Bhoot’ co-starring Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. She has also been roped in for Ali Abbas Zafar’s superhero series.
